I really can’t stress this enough—we are listener supported. We don’t lean hard as much as we could on advertising—which I am sure is appreciated—we certainly don’t lean on corporate advertising to pay the bills at the station.
Today we have about 800 or so people on our mailing list who get these emails. Some are current sustaining donors, some are past donors, but most are people who haven’t supported us yet with a small monthly donation.

Registration is open for CHLY 101.7FM’s first annual Summer Radio Camp for kids! This two-week long day camp, hosted by vetted staff, will run three times through the summer, with participants learning about media, music, broadcasting, podcasting, interviewing, working together to produce their own radio show and podcast!

Hello Listeners. On April the 24th, I was offered by the Board of Directors of the Radio Malaspina Society a position with CHLY 101.7FM as Executive Coordinator. I have accepted this position and have resigned from the board as its President. While I will miss my former role, I am incredibly excited about my new role moving forward.
