Open Doors October 4th and 5th

Friday, October 4th is World College Radio Day, and as a member of the National Campus-Community Radio Association (NCRA), CHLY 101.7FM will be participating in Open Doors, a collaboration between the two organizations! Saturday, October 5th also marks our 23rd year of broadcasting since we started back in 2001. How time flies!

You can drop in from 11 AM to 5 PM each day.

In celebration, our station doors will be open to the general public for those curious about campus-community radio, and community media in general. We will also have pizza on hand for those who drop in, staff, hosts and other volunteers will also be in attendance to chat with those curious about what we do. It’s basically an open house!

World College Radio Day first started as a North American event back in October 2011 with stations in Canada, the United States and Jamaica first participating. In 2013 it became a worldwide event with over 600 stations participating.
