Advertising for Campus Clubs / Course Unions

In support of students, our station provides campus clubs and course unions at the Nanaimo campus of Vancouver Island University with free advertising! Organizers of these groups can access 56 30-second ads per semester to promote their club, or club events ($428 in value).

This credit must be used within the semester and do not roll over into the following semester.

Script tips:

• Organizers must submit a script that can be easily read in under 30 seconds.

• If you’re promoting an event, submit your script well ahead of it (at least 3-4 weeks is ideal).

• Consider having someone from the club do the voice-over! We love to have more voices on the air.

• Keep sentences short and tight.

• Watch out for those words that tongue tie.

• Practice reading your script several times before submitting it.
