Nearly every summer through Work Integrated Learning at VIU, we host students who are interested in gaining valuable work experience related to their field of study. Over the years, we have had interns from the following programs:

“Over the summer, I had the opportunity to work with VIU Nanaimo’s Campus Community Radio Station CHLY 101.7FM. My internship required me to complete 120 hours of work, which included a variety of promotional and community-centred projects. This experience included a poster series, social media posts with variants, training illustrations, a band logo, and a standup tent table card.

I complete my experience on the 19th of August. I had an absolute blast working in the field in an environment filled with a healthy mix of professionalism and laughter. Thank you, Jesse Woodward and Karolien Soylu for the opportunity to gain valuable work experience!”
