How is CHLY 101.7FM supporting knowledge Mobilization at Vancouver Island University?
Our station has over the years worked to support the creation of on-air programs that allow students and faculty to mobilize and transfer their knowledge to our non-academic audiences. These programs have been broadcast and podcasted by the station.
For students, this has been done through classwork, directed studies, and work studies supervised by professors and instructors.
Current and past knowledge mobilization programs include:
“Working with CHLY has been a great experience for myself as a 3rd year nursing student. Each week, my team created episodes with a community health promotion focus. I was initially intimidated with the idea of being on the radio, however, I found the experience to be empowering!”
