Coastal Community Small Business Support Ad Fund
About the fund
To support its community-driven mission, CHLY plays two to three minutes of advertising at the end of the hour between its local and syndicated programs.
New this year, is a special Small Business Support Ad Fund where CHLY will provide a total of $15,000 of free advertising to small businesses in our broadcast community.
This special fund is supported by a grant of $5000 from Coastal Community Credit Union. We hope that by helping small businesses like yours, you’ll consider returning the favour by advertising with your community radio station at a later date or to top off your selected package.
CHLY 101.7FM broadcasts to Nanaimo and other communities on the Salish Sea to approximately 308,428 people. Among those an estimated 27,758 listen regularly to CHLY, and an additional 64,769 listen from time to time, for an estimated total of 92,527 potential listeners.

$250 One-Week “Daily Spread” Ad Campaign at 30 seconds
Over one week, your 30-second ad will play three times per day to hit different kinds of listeners. One 30s Peak Rate Ad, one 30s Mid Peak Rate Ad, and one 30s Off Peak Rate Ad.
$500 Two-Week “Daily Spread” Ad Campaign at 30 seconds
Over two weeks your 30-second ad will play three times per day to hit different kinds of listeners. One 30s Peak rate ad, one 30s Mid-Peak rate ad, and one 30s Off Peak rate ad per day!
Sponsor Campaign Options
Longer term, but good for consistently promoting yourself through your support of the station. Sponsorships tend to run 20-seconds, but we do have 15 and 30-second options. Clients can pick a program to sponsor, or have our sales staff pick one for them.

Peak ($13.33/spot): 18 sponsorship reads over 18 weeks.
Mid-Peak ($12.00/spot): 20 sponsorship reads over 20 weeks.
