Join the Nanaimo Art Gallery as they celebrate the installation of the new public artwork, called Supernatural Eagle Bringing the Sun Back to the World, by Snuneymuxw father and son team, Joel and William Good. This new sculpture is carved in cedar, inspired by a Coast Salish origin story, and made especially for our place in the heart of downtown Nanaimo.
With the gallery celebrate the artwork, honour the artists, and acknowledge all of the community supporters who helped realize the project.
Everyone is welcome! Admission is free!
This event will take place on the street in front of the Gallery rain or shine.

Come join the staff and volunteers at CHLY for our annual holiday soirée. Celebrate the season and our successes for the year and learn how you can volunteer and help CHLY in the new year.
Art for sale from local artists, great for the holiday season with money going to support both the artist and the station. Music provided by CHLY Late Shift host, Sandeep the Soul Survivor. Food and drink for all to enjoy, and door prizes to be drawn through the night.
The door is by donation, open to members and donors, space is limited, so please RSVP.

There will be a lot more art on the walls during the Nanaimo Artwalk. This year CHLY is happy to be a stop on the ArtWalk and to welcome two artists, Katherine Moore and Janice Hofman who will fill our station full of art for this two-day event.
