Notice of Annual General Meeting
Tuesday, Oct 27th 2020, 5:30 PM virtually via Zoom.
In light of COVID-19, the Radio Malaspina Society Board of Directors has moved to hold our 22nd Annual General Meeting online via Zoom Meeting. The meeting will occur on Tuesday October 27th with virtual 'sign-in' starting at 5:30 PM, and meeting business starting at 6:00 PM.
IMPORTANT: Please click on the button below to register for the AGM and to have your online board of directors election ballot distributed to you.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Voting and Election Information
Voting on meeting motions will be done verbally and/or via the text function in Zoom.
Election of Directors will be run virtually, with only Voting Members registered to attend the AGM eligible to vote online via Election Runner. Online voting opens on Friday the 23rd and closes at 7:30 PM Tuesday the 27th during the AGM.
Membership Renewal?
Pay your membership online, and keep your membership up to date! You can pay once, or set up recurring yearly payments.
Renew your membership before the Annual General Meeting by becoming a monthly Sustaining Donor, or by making a one-time donation of $20 or more.
If you're unsure as to whether or not your membership is up to date, please reply back to this email to check your status. Alternatively, email Executive Director Jesse Woodward at jesse.woodward@chly.ca or call the office at (250) 716-3410.
You must be a Voting Member as per our society bylaws to be eligible to vote at our AGM. See section 2.4 of our bylaws for more information.
Students currently attending Vancouver Island University's Nanaimo Campusare considered Student Members and are Voting Members.
This year's business
For elections this year under our staggered directorship bylaw, there are two student positions, and two community positions open for nomination.
Nominations are open for submission in advance of the Annual General Meeting and will be reviewed by the Nominations Committee for referral to the membership via the Board of Directors. Those interested in running for a directorship, please contact Executive Director Jesse Woodward for a nomination form.
There are no special resolutions on the agenda this year.

6:00 PM—Meeting commences (Quorum is 16 members of the Radio Malaspina Society).
6:01 PM—Appointment of a chairperson.
6:02 PM—Acknowledgment of Snuneymuxw First Nations territory and thanks.
