Why take our survey?
British Columbians head to the polls on October 17th. Who we will vote for, largely depends on who we believe will best represent our values, and take a lead on the issues that matter to us most. But where do these contestants for mayor, council, school board, region district, or Islands Trust stand on those issues, and what do they value?
Who’s even running? You may have a plethora of candidates to choose from, which can make it difficult!
Help us help you in making an informed decision.
No matter where you are in the region we serve, we want to know what issues matter most to you this election! Whether you live in Nanaimo, Ladsymith, Lantzville, Parksville, Qualicum, Courtenay, Cumberland, Comox or any of the Gulf Islands where we can be heard like Lasquiti, Hornby, Denman and Gabriola, we want you to take our survey.
Our newsroom wants to provide elections reporting that helps you make an informed choice. Your survey answers will influence how our small, growing team of reporters will cover this election.
Why are we asking for contact information in the survey? First, we’re asking in case you want us to follow up with you, but also to prevent bad-faith submissions.
