"The Wild" Returns.

We are incredibly excited to announce the return of the Cumberland Wild Festival hosted in the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island B.C. on Aug 17/18 2019. Cumberland Wild Festival is a two-day, two-stage contemporary music festival featuring both live bands and unique electronic acts including Bluegrass, Country/Blues, Reggae/Dub, and Rock.

Two full days of world-class talent will take you on an exploration of sound, dance and celebration. Let us provide you with an immersive experience featuring onsite camping, workshops, art exploration, and wellness support. We bring you the best of local craft beer, hot food, cold drinks, and craft vendors. Licensed and family friendly, yet NOT kid-centric. This festival will give you the authentic west coast cultural experience at its best. Our site is mostly flat with grass and is 100 % accessible to all.

Cumberland Wild takes place in a spectacular 12-hectare park, smack dab in the middle of the legendary Village of Cumberland. Festival-goers can enjoy swimming and boating at Comox Lake (3km from the site), the many world-class bike trails, and historic sites. The village has an abundance of local restaurants, handcrafted works, and amazing unique small businesses for you to explore.  

You won’t want to miss the SILENT DISCO! After the amplified music shuts off at 1 am the Silent Disco begins and carries on all night.  Imagine 750 people all wearing glowing wireless headphones dancing to one of three DJs playing at the same time on separate channels.  Silent Disco goers enjoy the power of choosing what channel to listen to! 

Don’t be fooled by this small-town! Cumberland Village Works and Mt Eliah Presents work closely year-round to produce over 100 shows a year and are the drivers of Cumberland’s worlds renowned music culture. Working with venues such as The Waverley Hotel, one of the best-known live music venues in western Canada, they bring some of the worlds most celebrated talent to a little town of just over 3000 people.  Cumberland Wild stands in a long sequence of well celebrated and much-revered music festivals such as The Big Time Out and Atmosphere Gathering.
