  • The Minister of Finance is asking the legislature for a billion dollars, to help transit authorities recover from the pandemic. Nanaimo's transit system has reported a $2 million dollar loss this year, due to free fares and the cost of installing equipment like physical barriers needed to protect against COVID-19.
