  • On the topic of the pandemic, there were no deaths from COVID-19 in BC over the past 24 hours, however, there were 13 new cases confirmed. None is in the Island Health Region. 

  • Nanaimo RCMP say yesterday's fire at the Bastion was caused by someone starting a fire in the stairwell at the lower door.
