No new deaths from COVID-19 for fifth straight day

  • For the fifth straight day, there have been no new deaths from COVID-19 in BC. The Provincial Health Officer has also declared several outbreaks over.

  • BC Ferries has announced, starting on June the 15th, it will require all passengers over the age of 2 to wear masks on ferry trips that are longer than 30 minutes but only when physical distancing is not possible.

  • The City of Nanaimo's animal pound and adoption centre does not meet basic national standards for animals in shelters and a consultant's report is recommending a renovation.
