  • BC's Ministry of Education has lost a landmark case in the Supreme Court of Canada. It has been ordered to pay more than $7 million dollars to the Francophone School Board of BC. 

  • Dr. Shannon Dames a nursing professor at Vancouver Island University has received a $50,000 dollar grant to develop a psychedelic therapy for health care workers and first responders who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

  • Farmers in the Alberni Valley will be allowed to slaughter animals on their farms for sale to consumers restaurants and butcher shops.
