Changes
Changes is The Show on Sustainability, with four streams: Simple Living, Zero Waste, The Ideas Show, and Human Change. We cover topics like energy and transportation alternatives, local farming, recycling, composting, social justice, peace (war is a major contributor to ecosystem damage and destruction of communities), changes in attitude toward the biosphere, lifestyle changes away from “stuff” and toward community and personal fulfillment, documentary films and other arts initiatives that communicate information and attitudes; and much more.
Our opening theme song is Somewhere on the Island from the album, The Best of Gary Fjellgaard, and our closing theme is SustainABILITY by Raffi, from his album Communion. We are fortunate to have both artists living near us, on Gabriola Island and Salt Spring Island respectively.

The Lovecast
The Lovecast with Dave O Rama
Global Grooves and Funkee Schizophonics
The Lovecast is a three hour exploratory musical progression focused on the positive groove.
An audio love potion infused with Dave O Rama’s passion for rhythm and culture. The Lovecast blends up a mouth watering sonic masala and cooks it up into a feast of positives vibes. In the mix you’ll find a Saturday night soundtrack featuring local, national, and international artists, investigating such styles as Funk, Blues, Soul, RnB, Hip Hop, Reggae, Dancehall, Dub, Global Grooves, Electro, World, Folk, Poetry and much more. The program also presents artist and label features, social commentary, interviews, prizes, and live performances.
The Lovecast tends to work its way from beginning to end through a three hour musical progression. So, due to the diversity of the music mix the program always begins in one musical realm and progresses through a diverse mix of genres ending somewhere very different. Never assume that the first few songs define the whole program. The Lovecast is all about musical surprises and aural adventure.
The Lovecast: Musical diversity for the mind and booty.
Warning: The Lovecast music mix is highly sensitive to the influences of the weather.
The Lovecast: Saturdays 4pm to 7pm Pacific Standard Time

The RIOT ACT (with host the Reverend Terence)
Welcome to the RIOT ACT….Rare, Interesting and Obscure Tracks.
The theme of the show is outlined in its title; a weekly journey through the rare, interesting and obscure music produced and enjoyed throughout the world. Each week will see a totally unique and different show from the weeks before or after. Picture one show totally based around the punk genre, a second featuring nothing but live bootleg concert tracks, or one based on all rock or blues acts, remixes, demos, stoner rock, fresh hot rock/pop/alt acts new to the market, even seven inch ‘50s rockabilly never released on LP or CD. Envision a show based on unique music from non-North American acts; Italy’s greatest rapper, late ‘60s Cambodian rock, Mongolian throat singer covers, Japanese punk and even mariachi cover band rock from Mexico. If one week’s show isn’t your style, try another….there’s plenty to partake during the Riot Act. Host Reverend Terence Fitzgerald has been collecting music since he was 13 and now sits on 3TB of rare bootlegs, demos, remixes and the like. With friends tired of being inundated with new music monthly, he has agreed to share his collection with the world and hopes everyone can be entertained and delighted by it. Terence is a Grammy and Emmy Award winning producer/director of animation, music videos, films and television. His 10 MTV Music Video Award nominations for one single video set a record in 1999. Music is his escape, he welcomes you along for the journey.
