Submit a Program Proposal

CHLY Program Proposal

The purpose of this proposal is for you, the prospective CHLY programmer, to give the CHLY Programming Committee a clear idea of what your proposed show will sound like.  This includes the content it will cover, the format, and its raison d’etre.

1. Give a general description of the show.  For example, is it primarily a music show or a talk show?  What is the scope of topics and genres?  How will the show be structured? 
2. Describe a specific show*.  List specific pieces of music, possible guests, history segments, readings, etc.  It isn’t necessary to include a script, instead just write, (eg.) “3-5 minutes of biographical info on previous artist.”
3. State the aim of the show – what you hope to achieve through the show.  Why should this show be part of CHLY’s program schedule?
4. You will need to provide a demo CD.  You can learn how to do this at a CHLY workshop by contacting The Programming Committee at pcomm@chly.ca.
