Glen Foster Group announces the long awaited release of their second full length album entitled ‘The Reckoning’, on September 1, 2012. Three years in the making, all songs were composed by Foster with the exception of ‘Big Man In Town’ a Four Season’s song released in 1964. The album features a list of local musicians including Glenn Olsen, Pat Shonwise, Scott MacLeod, Bill Hicks, Gerry Barnum, Joel Spillette, Dean Boland, Bill Cymbala, Chevy Ray and The Fins and David Gogo. The recording was engineered by Rick Salt at Lois Lane Recording Studios in Nanaimo, and co-produced by Salt and Foster.

The RECKONING includes several controversial songs including ‘War of Words’ based on the Cuban Missile Crisis (1962) which features the actual voices of John F Kennedy and Nikita Kruschev. ‘This That These & Those’ has become a hot YouTube video and features several recognizable Nanaimo landmarks including Millstone Winery where the band was videoed playing live. Foster was also featured on Shaw Cable TV’s ‘The Show’ hosted by Kait Burgen in January 2012 performing ‘Someday (It’ll All Work Out)’ which can also be seen on a YouTube video.

Foster who is becoming known as the ‘Pixelated Man’ after a song of the same title, is depicted disintegrating into pixels blown across the CD cover, a design created by Gerry Patenaude at Nanaimo’s ‘Array Creative’ (Fitzwilliam Street, Nanaimo).

The Group has a CD release celebration planned for Saturday Sept 15, 2012, 8:30pm at The Courts Pub, 25 Front St, Nanaimo.

Released on Foster’s indie label ‘Rescue Records’ the album has international distribution and is available at www.glenfoster.ca, itunes and local music store Fascinating Rhythms.
