FRINGETASTIC THEATRE FESTIVAL returns for their second annual fringe-theatre event in Nanaimo BC. From Aug 16 – 26, eight theatre companies from across North America descend to perform in Downtown Nanaimo, at our two downtown venues, the Port Theatre On-stage and the Vancouver Island Conference Centre.

New this year is the FRINGE HUB. Starting August 15 with THE PREVIEW SHOW, our newest sponsor and partner, the Port Theatre, will dedicate their lobby to hosting a variety of fringe events from 7pm – 9pm each night of the festival. THE PREVIEW SHOW on August 15 features “sampler” performances from each of our Fringetastic participants and we invite audiences to get the inside scoop before the festival starts on Aug 16. In addition to live performances each night, the FRINGEHUB will also host a chalkboard where audiences can leave their own reviews and of course it is our main ticket centre for the festival.
