Westwood Lake is what they call a put and take fishery,the fish are stocked for the very purpose of being caught and retained by fishermen,if you were to check out the stocking records you would see that

I believe it’s totally inappropriate to stage a fishing derby on this small lake, one which is stocked with trout on an annual basis to provide enjoyment for all. A derby, by its very nature, encourages the killing of fish to win prizes rather than following a ‘catch and release’ approach, which helps to conserve the resource.
