This  retreat has been designed to offer mothers who have been separated from their child by adoption, an opportunity to share their stories in a supportive environment .

It will explore some of the issues of relinquishment and look at the impact they may have had upon personal and spiritual well-being.

Movement  towards healing begins first by getting in touch with the loss, pain grief , shame , anger and guilt many birthmothers still carry from their relinquishment experience and secondly by moving beyond, to where they can begin to learn to love and forgive themselves and others.

The four sessions within this retreat hopefully will empower participants to encourage and support each other in beginning to take steps towards healing.

The weekend will finish with a healing circle after lunch Sunday

At the Bethlehem Retreat Centre, 2371 Arbot Rd, Nanaimo
